First, lightly spray the inside of the crockpot with non-stick spray.
Then, add the chicken breasts to the pot.
Pierce the chicken with a large fork.
Next, add the garlic, seasonings, diced onion, and lastly, the BBQ sauce.
Cook on low for 8 hours or high for 4 hours. The chicken is done once it can easily be shredded with a fork.
Next, transfer the chicken to a large bowl and shred it using large forks or meat claws.
Lastly, pour the juice from the crockpot over the shredded chicken and mix with forks until incorporated.

Notes
Note: you can certainly enjoy this BBQ chicken right after you're doing shredding it. However, I have found that it tastes best the next day after the flavor has had time to settle.
