Halloween Snack Mix Ideas to satisfy everyone’s cravings this fall:
- Classic popcorn mix with snack mix essentials like Chex Mix and pretzels,
- Sweet & salty trail mix that is the perfect combination of sweet and savory, and
- Candy mix for all the kids (and gummy-candy-lovers) out there.
I recently published my Halloween Cake Mix Cookie Ideas post, which shares three different ways to enjoy cake mix cookies this fall.
I’m continuing with a similar approach (one recipe three ways) with my Halloween snack mix ideas.

Overview
Before we jump into each Halloween snack mix idea, here are a couple of things to keep in mind:
- Each Halloween snack mix requires 6-7 ingredients.
- The instructions for each mix are the same. However, the classic popcorn mix has a couple of additional steps.
Halloween Snack Mix Ideas: Classic Popcorn Mix
First up is our Halloween popcorn mix.
This mix includes the snack mix essentials (popcorn, pretzels, and Chex Mix) with candy eyes, orange ‘ribbon’ chocolate, and M&Ms for Halloween vibes.

Halloween Snack Mix Ideas: Sweet And Salty Trail Mix
Next up is our Halloween sweet and salty trail mix.
It’s a perfect trail mix for a fall hike. I recently brought it when I was out hiking with Jakey.
Just make sure it isn’t too hot outside so that the chocolate doesn’t melt!
Halloween Sweet And Salty Trail Mix Ingredients
- Reese’s Pieces
- Pretzel Snaps
- Chocolate Chex
- Mixed Nuts
- Kettle Corn
- Autumn Halloween Candy Corn Mix
- Reese’s Minis
Halloween Snack Mix Ideas: Candy Mix
Last but not least is our Halloween candy mix.
Forget the chocolates and salty snacks, this Halloween mix is all about your favorite sweet gummy candies!
I recently served this candy mix on my Halloween Skeleton Charcuterie Board.
Halloween Candy Mix Ingredients
- Halloween Jelly Beans
- Teeth Gummies
- Candy Corn & Candy Pumpkins
- Mini Marshmallows
- Pumpkin Marshmallows
- Sour Gummy Worms
Halloween Snack Mix Ideas: Instructions
- Add all ingredients to a large bowl.
- Mix well.
Note: I like to leave a few pieces of each candy to the side and add them on top before serving since sometimes the small pieces (like the jelly beans) can fall to the bottom.
Additional Instructions For The Classic Popcorn Mix
- Transfer the classic popcorn mix from the large bowl to a baking tray lined with parchment paper.
- Melt the orange candy melts according to the package instructions.
- Using a large fork, drizzle the melted orange candy over the popcorn mix (have fun with this step!)
- Place candy eyes on the melted chocolate before the chocolate hardens.
- If the chocolate hardens before you’ve added all the candy eyes, then reheat the orange chocolate for a couple of seconds. Be very careful not to overheat the chocolate – it’s very easy to do and make your chocolate rock-hard and you won’t be able to use it.
- Then, dip the back of the candy eyes into the orange chocolate and place it onto the popcorn mix.
