Recipe Notes
First, and foremost, I want you to know that you can certainly enjoy this BBQ chicken right after you’re doing shredding it.
However, I have found that it tastes best the next day after the flavor has had time to settle.
Ingredients
- Substitutions: if you can’t find smoked paprika at the store or don’t want the smokey flavor, feel free to substitute regular paprika.
- Barbeque seasoning: I purchased mine from Trader Joe’s. If you don’t have a Trader Joe’s, most grocery stores sell the McCormick brand. You could also make your own BBQ seasoning.
- Add-ins: My two favorite ingredients to add in are dark brown sugar and, or, chopped bacon! Simply sprinkle in either or both before you add the BBQ sauce. Make sure to cook the bacon first.
