I don’t think I could ever get tired of chocolate-covered pretzels. The salt and crunch of the pretzel rods paired with the sweetness of the chocolate and sprinkles go together like peanut butter and jelly.

Not only do chocolate-covered pretzels taste delicious, but you probably already have most of the ingredients in your pantry. The best part? They can easily be whipped up at the last minute and decorated for any holiday, and St. Patrick’s Day is no exception.

St. Patrick’s Day Chocolate Covered Pretzels: Recipe Notes

  • Store chocolate-covered pretzels in an air-tight container at room temperature for up to three weeks.
  • St. Patrick’s Day Chocolate Bark is a perfect way to use your leftover chocolate because it doesn’t require exact measurements or ingredients.
  • You can easily double or triple this recipe depending on how many pretzels you want to make.
  • The order for melting and decorating the pretzels is not arbitrary. White and green chocolate harden much more quickly than dark chocolate, so it’s best to melt it right before you plan to dip the pretzels.
  • As you are decorating the pretzels, it helps give the white and green chocolate a good swirl in between pretzels. This will help delay how fast the chocolate melts.
  • If you aren’t making all four variations, a good rule of thumb is:
    • Dark chocolate is the easiest to melt and takes the longest to harden.
    • Colored chocolate is the easiest to burn and is the quickest to harden.
    • White chocolate is easier to work with than colored chocolate, but harder to work with than dark chocolate.
